While I love this time of year, I find that the hustle and bustle of preparing to Christmas is so tiring! Logan and I decided to take a break from “life” and head to the coast to take a breather.
Our main reason for the travel was to visit Brookgreen Garden‘s “Night of a Thousand Candles”. Y’all, this was the most beautiful thing I think I’ve ever seen. Brookgreen Gardens is a beautiful area of Murrell’s Inlet, South Carolina preserved to exhibit art and nature. If you haven’t been, I would equivilate the scenes to Biltmore Mansion (subtract the home and add the ocean). Anyway, they have a festival of lights and it’s just stunning. Definitely a must see if you’re ever that way!
Anytime I have a day with Shep, I find myself filling up my phone’s photo album with snaps of him. We have been loving this Carter’s Bear Vest that he has on. Tennessee weather has been pretty unpredictable. One day it will be 60 and the next it will be 35. This vest has helped us keep baby boy nice and snuggly, but not too warm.
It was a beautiful weekend spent with family. It’s so nice to take a break from life and just sleep in, be with each other, and live like we’re retired. Ha!
